Fellowship Program: Overview

The fellowship experience combines opportunities for ongoing mentoring, formal and informal feedback to the physical therapist fellow-in-training (including required written and live patient practical examinations) with a foundation in scientific inquiry, evidence-based practice, and course work designed to provide a theoretical basis for advanced practice.

The fellowship is based off of Geoffrey Maitland’s Maitland-Australian Approach which is considered the cornerstone of modern day Orthopedic Manual Therapy for treatment of both Spinal and Peripheral conditions, and uses primarily the assessment and treatment of the patient’s signs and symptoms to develop an effective treatment plan.
